Departure Procedures

ATC Clearance, Start-Up and Pushback

DEL · 121.800 MHz

  • Airport Collaborative Decision Making (ACDM) is in progress at RCTP.
  • Submit your TOBT through Taipei ACDM / VDGS.
  • Call Taipei Delivery for your IFR clearance 15 minutes before your TOBT.
  • When requesting clearance, provide your callsign, parking bay, proposed flight level and ATIS code.

Ground

GND · 121.700 or 121.600 MHz

  • Select transponder Mode C before requesting pushback.
  • Unless otherwise approved, all engines should be started and the aircraft ready to taxi by the end of pushback.
  • Aircraft at Terminal B, Terminal C and remote stands 601–615 contact Taipei Ground on 121.600; all other aprons use 121.700.

Tower

TWR · 118.700 MHz

  • A minimum departure separation interval of 2 minutes applies between successive departures.

Initial Altitude

Departing traffic should anticipate an initial altitude of 3,000 ft before Taipei Approach or Taipei Control assigns a further level.

Transition Altitude

The transition altitude is 11,000 ft.

Arrival Procedures

Runway and STAR Assignment

  1. For approach, expect the JAMMY transition for Runway 05 and the AUGUR transition for Runway 23.
  2. In the arrival downwind, expect to level at 9,000 ft when abeam the airport.
  3. Arrival routing depends on the FIR entry point and runway in use, as summarized below.
